Javagal Srinath of Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referee has taken this action by Virat & Team on throwing an over short in the stipulated time.

Kohli has admitted this mistake so there will be no further hearing in it.

As per Rule 2.22 of ICC Code of Conduct for minimum over speed offense,

players are fined 20 percent of their match fees for throwing each over short in their team’s stipulated time.

Talk about the match, the Indian team had stopped the England team on the score of 164 runs in the match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After that, he made the match easily on the basis of half-century innings of debutant Ishaan Kishan and Virat Kohli.

With this victory of India, both teams have reached a 1-1 level in the five-match series.
