Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma told the reason for the defeat, said this about Ishan Kishan

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has admitted that his batsmen did not perform well against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB bundled out Mumbai Indians for just 111 runs. Not only this, the first wicket fell on Mumbai’s total score of 57 runs, while Rohit Sharma himself returned to the pavilion on a total score of 79 runs. After this the team lost all the wickets within 32 runs.

After the crushing defeat against RCB, Rohit Sharma said, “Thought it was a great bowling effort from our side. At one point it looked like they (RCB) were scoring 180-plus. The batsmen let us down. This is something that is happening constantly (losing our way with the bat). Had a good conversation with the batsmen. Who needs to move on. They kept the pressure on us after a couple of wickets fell.”

The hitman further added, “We need to step back from whatever situation we are in. He is a talented player (Ishan Kishan). His IPL last year It was fantastic. We want to support his neutral game, so he is batting above Surya. We don’t want to put too much pressure on the players. These young players are making their way into international cricket.”

Mumbai has played its 10 league matches and has won only 4 matches so far. In this way, Mumbai Indians have a chance of reaching the playoffs, but the journey ahead is very difficult, as the team led by Rohit Sharma has to face Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last four matches.
