CBSE 12th Exam: Union Minister of Education, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has held a high-level meeting

Under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at 11.30 am on Sunday for the decision on the upcoming CBSE 12th Exam board exams, JEE Main, NEET and other competitive examinations.

Education ministers of all states and union territories, Union Secretary for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani

and Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar also attended the meeting.

Close to decision on CBSE 12th Exam examinations, will announce soon: Union Education Minister

After the high level meeting regarding the conduct of board examinations,

the Union Education Minister said that the meeting with other states on the Class XII board examinations was fruitful,

as we received highly valuable suggestions. I have requested the State Governments to send me their detailed suggestions by 25 May.

Nishank said that this will enable us to arrive at a decision regarding class 12th board exams and inform them about our decision

as soon as possible to remove uncertainty between students and parents. Safety of both students and teachers is extremely important for us.

Goa Chief Minister made an important announcement

On the other hand, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant made a significant announcement regarding the state board examinations by holding a video press conference at five o’clock on Sunday evening.

He said that due to the current covid-19 status in the state, the Class 10 examination of the Goa Board has been canceled.

Students of class 10th have to be promoted to the next class on the basis of marks obtained in internal assessment. At the same time, the decision on the 12th exam will be decided in the next 2 days.

Final decision will be taken on June 1 meeting

According to information quoting sources, the Center has asked for pressure in writing from

all the states and has instructed them to submit the proposal in two days.

After deliberating on these proposals, a decision can be taken by May 30. Let us know that the Education Minister is to have a meeting with CBSE on June 1,

it is likely that a final decision will be taken in this meeting itself.
