Geneva, AFP. The World Health Organization has expressed concern about the shortage of nurses in view of the increasing risk of corona virus worldwide. According to the WHO, there is currently a shortage of 60 million nurses worldwide. A report by the United Nations Health Agency, along with Nursing Now and the International Council of Nurses (ICN), underscored the important role played by nurses who exist as more than half of health workers worldwide.

Dr. Tedros Adenom Ghebreyes, head of the World Health Organization, said, ‘Nurses are the backbone of any health system. Today, many nurses find themselves in the front row in the fight against COVID-19. In such a situation, the help they need to keep the world healthy should be made available to them.
