Farmer’s leaders have accused actor Deep Sidhu of spreading violence and inciting violence.
However, actor Deep Sidhu, who was present while flagging the Red Fort, defended the protesters’ act on Tuesday by saying that they did not remove the national flag and only imposed ‘Nishan Sahib’ as a symbolic protest.
On the occasion of Republic Day on the occasion of protesters hoisting
the religious flag at Red Fort during the tractor parade and violence in Delhi,
Deep Sidhu said, ‘To register a symbolic protest against the new agricultural laws,
we put up’ Nishan Sahib and Kisan flag ‘and also raised the slogan of Kisan Mazdoor Ekta.
He pointed to ‘Nishan Sahib’ and said that the flag represents unity in the diversity of the country. ‘Nishan Sahib’ is a symbol of Sikhism which is seen in all Gurdwara campuses.
Deep, once an ally of Sunny Deol, was an ally of actor Sunny Deol when the actor contested from Gurdaspur seat during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Not only this, when Deep Sidhu’s pictures went viral, Sunny Deol tweeted and wrote, ‘My heart is very sad to see what happened on the Red Fort today,
I have already clarified this through Twitter on December 6. I am that my or my family has no connection with Deep Sidhu. Jai Hind’
Who is Deep Sidhu
He is an actor in Punjabi films and also a social worker. He started his film career with the Punjabi film Ramta Jogi, which is said to be produced by Dharmendra.
Deep Sidhu was born in the year 1984 in the Muktsar district of Punjab. Deep has studied law. He has also won the Kingfisher Model Award. On January 17, NIA had summoned Sidhu in connection with the case related to Sikh for Justice.
