Uttarakhand Foundation Day Government aims to develop Uttarakhand as an ideal state

Uttarakhand Foundation Day Government Uttarakhand is completing 21 years of its establishment. This Devbhoomi has been the penance of the sages since ancient times. Along with this, it has been attracting the whole world as a yoga city. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had fulfilled the dream of creating a separate state for the Himalayas, showing the path of tenacity and renunciation. To fulfill Atal ji’s dream of prosperous Uttarakhand, the state government is working seriously under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is the result of the Prime Minister’s guidance that Uttarakhand has come under the category of fast-developing states today.

Recently, on the occasion of the reconstruction work of Kedarpuri in Kedarnath and the unveiling of a grand statue of Adi Shankaracharya there, the Prime Minister said, ‘The coming decade belongs to Uttarakhand’. I am sure that we will be fully successful in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s dream of rebuilding Kedarnath and the progressive development of Uttarakhand within the given time frame. The aim of our government is to develop the state into an ideal state. With the policies of the state government and the cooperation of the central government, Uttarakhand has been successful in leaving behind the national average in terms of economic growth rate to per capita income. The government is preparing a 10-year roadmap for the state’s development so that the state should be the leading state in every parameter of development.

Atal ji believed that connectivity is directly related to development. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is trying to make this concept a reality. After the horrific disaster in the year 2013, the biggest challenge was the reconstruction of Kedarpuri. In this tragedy, out of 23 hectares of Kedarnath, about 12-13 hectares were washed away in floods, but under the vision and guidance of the Prime Minister, the master plan of Kedarpuri has been prepared in such a way that its grandeur will be enhanced. Its first phase has been completed at a cost of Rs 225 crore.

In Uttarakhand, rapid work is being done in the field of transport, connectivity and infrastructure. The capacity of Dehradun airport has been expanded and to promote heli services in the state, a rebate of 18 per cent has been given in aviation tuber fuel. The work of construction of All Weather Road is also in progress to facilitate the journey of Chardham. Work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, pending for years, is also in progress. Recently, the country has completed the target of injecting 100 crore doses of corona vaccine. In the state too, the work of administering the first dose of the vaccine has been completed. Earlier, during the Kovid epidemic, the Ayushman Yojana was successfully implemented by removing the shortcomings of the health infrastructure and strengthening it. So far, three and a half lakh people have been provided medical facilities under Ayushman Yojana, on which Rs 460 crore has been spent.

The Kovid epidemic also badly affected the employment situation in the state. The maximum employment was lost in the tourism sector, but our government took many decisions for the youth. In order to provide employment opportunities to the youth, the recruitment process has been started on about 24 thousand posts available in government departments. One year relaxation in the upper age limit has also been given to the youth to appear in Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ examination. Women are the basis of development of our state. Our government has taken many steps for women. They have been given the right of land. Now we are preparing to bring Chief Minister women empowerment scheme. Under this, it will be easy to provide loans to women for self-employment and they will be provided a subsidy of 30 percent or up to one lakh rupees under the scheme. Every woman of the state will get the benefit of the scheme.

With the aim of providing clean drinking water to the people of the state, water supply has been started to about 15 lakh houses so far. All households will be linked to the drinking water scheme by December 2022. Through the Har Ghar Roshni Yojana, the work of providing electricity from house to house has been done. The government is also emphasizing on quality education. Free textbooks will also be provided to the students of all classes from class 9 to 12 from next year onwards. Scholarship will be provided to 100 toppers of class 12 of government schools to prepare for higher education for five years.

Tourism is the backbone of our economy, but this sector has been hit the hardest during Kovid. Through many schemes, the affected businessmen of this area have been given opportunities to start work again. The state government’s package of Rs 200 crore proved to be lifesaving for the businessmen associated with this sector. We want to see Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee. Along with Uttarakhand Devbhoomi, Veer Bhoomi is also there. I assure that the welfare of soldiers and their families is the topmost priority for the Central and State Governments.
