Padma Shri Milkha Singh breathed his last at 11:30 pm on Friday at PGI Chandigarh.

Earlier on Sunday, Milkha Singh 85-year-old wife and former Indian volleyball team captain Nirmal Kaur also died due to a corona infection.

Milkha came under the grip of coronavirus on 20 May. His family cook had got corona, after which Milkha and his wife Nirmal Milkha Singh became corona positive.

Milkha has become Singh’s life the movie has become a film, called on Milkha Singh’s life Bollywood ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.

Actor Farhan Akhtar played the role of Milkha Singh in this film. The film, directed by director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, was well received by the audience.
