Haryana lockdown: full lock down declared in Haryana for seven days from today

Home Minister Anil Vij announced Haryana lockdown. Earlier on Friday, the weekend lockdown was imposed in nine districts of the state.

The Haryana government has decided to impose a complete Haryana lockdown of one week from May 3 to May 9 in the entire state.

The Home Department has issued orders regarding the lockdown under the Disaster Management Act 2005. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that a lockdown has been imposed in the state to break the corona chain.

It is worth noting that earlier, the state government had also imposed weekend lockdown in nine districts from 10 pm Friday night to 5:00 am Monday.

In a directive issued by Vijay Vardhan, chairman of the State Executive Committee for Disaster Management and Haryana Chief Secretary,

it has been said that the citizens of the state should remain in the houses during the lockdown being implemented from Monday. No citizen shall be allowed to walk on the road or in a public place by foot or by any vehicle during the period of lockdown.

They will be exempt from Haryana lockdown

People who are posted in law and order or emergency services. This includes municipal services, police, uniformed personnel of Army / CAPF, health, electricity, fire fighting, recognized media personnel, government employees working under covid-19.

During this period, by showing the identity card, they will be able to get movement in and out.

People will be allowed to come and go by showing the admit card / identity card for appearing in any examination or going on duty etc. in the examination.

There will be no restriction in the movement of people engaged in the manufacture of essential commodities.

There will also be no restriction on vehicles carrying essential goods within and outside the state. Passes will be provided to vehicles engaged in such works. These passes will be issued after verification of loading and unloading locations.

All districts of the state will be effective for seven days from 3 to 9 May. Other effective steps will be taken if the corona infection chain breaks during this period. – Anil Vij, Minister of Home and Health
