Bengali New Year 2021: PM Narendra Modi tweeted, said- Happy Poila Boishakh

Amit Shah has also given his best wishes on this occasion of Bengali New Year (2021) with his Twitter handle.

In her tweet, she said in Bengali, ‘I want to convey my love and best wishes to all my Bengali friends on the occasion of the upcoming auspicious festival Poyla Boishakh (Bengali New Year 2021).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the countrymen through his Twitter on the occasion of Poila Boishakh being celebrated in Bengal.

He said – Wish you all the best of Nobo Borshoe.

Actually, Poila Boishakh, also known as Bangla Noboborsho,

is the first day of the Bengali calendar and is celebrated as (Bengali New Year 2021) New Year’s Day.

It usually falls on 14 or 15 April every year. This year, this festival will be celebrated by Bengalis on 15 April in West Bengal, Tripura, and Assam.

Cultural events are held

The month of Baisakh in Bengal is considered very auspicious. All auspicious works are done this month, which include things like starting new bookkeeping, marriage-marriage, house-entry, shaving, buying the house.

Today i.e. on the day of Bengali New Year, Bengalis wear new clothes. Along with this, many cultural programs are also organized. The traditional greeting for the day is “Shubho Noborsho” which means “Happy New Year”.
