Rishabh Pant at number 5 to bat despite pain, hit 97 runs

During Australia’s second innings, Wriddhiman Saha was in charge of wicketkeeping in place of Pant. According to cricket rules, if a wicket-keeper gets injured during batting or wicket-keeping, then he can replace his fellow wicket-keeper for wicket-keeping only.

Rishabh Pant had scored 36 runs in the first innings. On the other hand, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja can also go for batting despite a thumb fracture. Let me tell you that in the first innings, Jadeja was hit by Mitchell Starc on the thumb, which fractured him.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is now out of the fourth Test against Australia. Apart from this, Jadeja has also been ruled out of the first two matches of the Test series against India in England.
