New Delhi, In view of the immense success of JNN Ramayana and Mahabharata, Doordarshan has now decided to re-air ‘Love-Kush’. It is worth mentioning that ‘Love-Kush’ was aired in 1988 in the name of North Ramayana. Ramanand was built under the guidance of Sagar.
Lockdown has been extended across the country till May 3 due to the outbreak of Corona virus. Many old shows are being re-broadcasted on TV to motivate people to stay indoors in lockdown. This includes Ramayana, Mahabharata and Shaktimaan Includes many old serials.
The CEO of Prasar Bharati has confirmed this on social media. He said that in view of the increasing popularity of Ramayana and Mahabharata among the people, it has been decided to telecast ‘Love-Kush’ again.
Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar has also informed on social media that the new episodes will be aired only at night and a repeat telecast will be shown in the morning. Love Kush or Uttar Ramayana is in 39 episodes. It shows the story of Sita Mata’s exile from the palace. It will also feature the characters of Ramayana, while Swapnil Joshi and Mayuresh Kshatrade will be seen in the roles of Luv and Kush respectively.
The popularity of Ramayana and Mahabharata can be gauged from the fact that the TRPs of both are still breaking records.
