Every year around 5 million people die from tobacco related diseases in the world. But despite this, people are becoming increasingly addicted to tobacco.

Smoking can lead to many consequences. Among them, severe diseases like lung cancer, oral cancer, heart disease, stroke, ulcer, asthma, depression can also occur.

Not only this, the consumption of tobacco in women can cause disorder in miscarriage or in a child.

Realizing the ill effects of tobacco, the World Health Organization decided to celebrate May 31 from May 1988 as World Tobacco Prohibition Day.

In 2008, the World Health Organization called for a ban on all tobacco advertisements, promotions, etc.

Tobacco is prepared by drying the leaves of the vegetation of Nicotiana species. Due to being a very ancient drug addict of the world, it is still very popular today.

Tobacco intoxication is done in two ways by chewing or making smoke. When it is taken in the form of smoke, in colloquial language, we call it cigarette. Pan masala, khaini, gutkha are all related substances.

Due to lack of concrete law and non-implementation of the law,

the number of people dying from tobacco related diseases is increasing in the country.

If the situation is not controlled as soon as possible,

it may be that tobacco-related diseases may increase in the coming few years and more people may die from it.

There is a need to create awareness among the people against tobacco.
