The BCCI said in its statement, “On January 3, 2021, the cricket team’s player members and support staff underwent RT-PCR test for Kovid-19.

The results have all been negative.”

Actually, the need for corona test of all the players and staff of the Indian cricket team came

because the video of the five players of the team eating in an indoor restaurant in Melbourne went viral on social media.

These players included team vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Saini.

These five players were isolated and their corona test has also come negative.

What is the matter

During the Corona era, cricket matches are taking place with very strict rules and during this time there are a lot of restrictions on cricket players.

It has been seen during the IPL when the cricketers had to stay in the bio bubble and they were banned from meeting anyone.

But the Indian cricket team that went on tour to Australia has some leeway.

The Boxing Day Test between India and Australia took place in Melbourne which was won by the Indian team by 8 wickets.

An Indian fan posted this video on social media. This video was of the new year in which all five players are eating food in an indoor restaurant.

Cricket Australia had issued a statement in the whole matter.

The statement said, “BCCI and Cricket Australia are investigating the entire matter. It will be ascertained in the investigation

whether these five players have violated the guidelines related to Kovid 19 or not.

Both teams are scheduled to reach Sydney from Melbourne on Monday. The third Test match is to be held at Sydney Cricket Ground.

So far no information has been given about whether the five players of India will play the Sydney Test.

Pant and Gill were part of Playing-11 in the second Test match. Rohit Sharma was to play in the third Test match.

He has arrived to play the Sydney Test match after a 14-day quarantine.
