Geneva, Reuters. The World Health Organization (WHO) warned on Monday that the people most vulnerable to the corona virus are from more than half a million tribal communities spread across the world. WHO chief Detros Adhanom Ghebreyes said that as of July 6, there had been more than 70 thousand cases of corona virus in the tribe community in the US and two thousand people had died.
Ghebreyes said that the living conditions of the people of the tribe community are very poor, their economic condition is also poor, they are also victims of malnutrition as well as are vulnerable to communicable and non-communicable diseases. Due to all these circumstances, they are very much threatened by the corona virus. WHO is very concerned about the impact of Corona on the people of the tribe community in America. Recently six cases of corona have been reported in the Nahua tribe in Peru.
At the same time, the head of emergency at the World Health Organization has reported the results shown in early trials of the corona virus vaccine as good news. However, he said that there is still a long way to go. Dr. Michael Ryan told reporters at a press conference in Geneva that we now need large-scale trials. It is good to see more data and more products at this very important stage of vaccine discovery.
